Deciphering Rubber Analyzes

Krasnuha is one of the most dangerous highly disabled infectious diseases transmitted by air-drip. It is part of Torch infections causing the fetal deformity and pregnancy unbearable. From infection to the first symptoms takes place on 14-21 days.

Pediatrician, infectious, obstetrician-gynecologist, therapist are sent to the analysis.

Study on rubella shown:

  • two months before pregnancy planning;
  • pregnant women;
  • Children under one year with suspicion of rubella;
  • Patients for diagnosis.

Blood for analysis take from Vienna.

The procedure is carried out in the morning on an empty stomach, on the eve of greasy food.

Rubella is more often determined by immunoassimal analysis (ELISA) with the definition of avidity (in the blood, the presence of antibodies to rubella — Immunoglobulins IgM and IgG; Avidity — antibody ability to neutralize the virus). IgM is formed immediately after infection and reach a maximum of the second and third week and after four to eight weeks disappear. IgG is formed in the body three days after infection and reach a maximum by the end of the fourth week, while remaining in the body, as a rule, forever.

Deciphering the results of the analysis on rubella

Igm+ — Patient is currently sickly rubella, infection occurred 1.5-2 months ago.

IgG+ — Patient got rubella or passed vaccination, he has immunity.

Igm-, IgG- — no rubella, immunity no.

Igm-, IgG+ — There is immunity (sled either vaccination).

Igm +, IgG- — acute form, the beginning of the disease.

Igm +, IgG+ — Acute shape, middle and end of the disease.

Avidity (%):

  • ≤ Low Avidity — infection up to three months;
  • ≥ High Avidity — infection more than five months;
  • 51-69 — Avidity transitional, analysis repeat in two weeks.

The second way to detect rubella — PCR method of blood (detect DNA, virus RNA) as confirming ELIS.

Decrypt:

  • (+) — primary infection, acute form;
  • (-) — Non-virus no.
