Anti HCV NS3: Deciphering Analysis
Antibodies to hepatitis C are called Anti HCV. They are two types: IgG and IgM (IG — immunoglobulin). IgG is characteristic of the chronic form of hepatitis, and IGM — For the infection stage (acute). Antibodies do not protect either from the development of hepatitis virus, nor from re-infection.
Ways to diagnose antibodies to hepatitis C virus:
- Serological studies,
- Molecular studies.
The composition of the HCV antibodies includes structural (Core) and non-structural (NS3, NS4, NS5, etc.) Proteins.
Anti-NS3 detect in the earliest stages of antibody formation. High NS3 protein indicators:
- peculiar to the acute form of hepatitis C;
- serve as a marker of elevated viral load;
- With long-term preservation of such a state, hepatitis can move from acute shape to chronic.
For proper treatment planning, refer to an experienced hepatologist or infectious background.
