Decoding tests: sexually transmitted diseases

The spectrum of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) is large enough, and reveal it by passing tests.

Examination on STDs includes:

  • smear — in 70% effective — The causative agent does not always appear externally;
  • Blood test on pathogen (antigen) or antibodies ІGM, Іgg — The first 14 days after infection is inexpensive;
  • Bacteriological sowing from urethra, vagina on the pathogenic flora and sensitivity to antibiotics — 60% of reliability (if the pathogen is small — gives a negative result);
  • PCR analysis (polymerase chain reaction) — cytological examination of urine, blood, discharge and content of scraps; Track DNA pathogens — 98% of the reliability of the results; Blood is given on an empty stomach.

Rules for preparing for the delivery of a smear on the STD without explicit signs of infection:

  • For three days before the analysis, sex life is excluded;
  • It is impossible to urinate for two hours before analysis;
  • During the day, we use acute food and a little alcohol to reduce immunity and provocate the propulsion agent;
  • Women are examined after menstruation, on the fourth and fifth day of the cycle.
