Cycle of menstruation

Cycle of menstruationMenstrual cycle — The period from the first day of one menstruation until the first day of the next day. On average, its duration ranges from 28 to 35 days. The deviation from the norm is considered if the difference between bleeding from the vagina is less than 21 and more than 35 days. Knowledge of the norms of the menstrual cycle allows a woman to calculate the most favorable day to conceive the child (period of ovulation) and days when the ability to get pregnant is minimal. Failure in the regularity of the menstrual cycle may occur due to hormonal failures, after childbirth and when climax.

Menstrual cycle works on the preparation of a female body for possible pregnancy. But menstruation can disappear with a sharp and severe weight: this is due to disruption of estrogen. In women with high levels of prolactin, it can exceed 40 days. Strong stresses are able to disturb the regularity of menstruation and lead to delays. There are several phases in the menstrual cycle, which will be discussed below.

Phases of menstrual cycles

During the menstrual cycle, the following important periods are distinguished:

  • Follicular phase;
  • ovulation;
  • Lutein phase.

Phases of menstrual cyclesFirst phase — Follicular. During this period, follicle develops, from which in the future it will be ready for the fertilization of the egg. The follicular phase is counted from the date of the beginning of menstrual bleeding and ends with ovulation. For this time, occupying almost half of the entire cycle, the active development of hormone estrogen is characterized. In the period of the follicular phase, the basal temperature of a woman, as a rule, does not go beyond the mark of 37°.

At the first phase it follows ovulation. Under ovulation it is understood as a way out of a burst follicle ready for fertilization of an egg. She falls into the abdominal cavity and further in Fallopiev pipe to the uterus. Eggs in girls are formed back in the womb. All they are numbered from three hundred to four hundred units. During pregnancy, ovulation does not occur, this function of the female organism is restored after delivery. To be able to calculate the time of ovulation is very important for women who want to get pregnant, because this period is the most optimal for this.

The latter phase of the menstrual cycle is called luteinova, or a phase of a yellow body. This period lasts about two weeks. The task of this phase — Balance of progesterone and estrogen hormones. In the lutein phase, the basal temperature approaches 37°. Before menstruation, the temperature sharply decreases.

Monthly cycle violations in women

The impaired menstrual cycle speak scarce and too intense bleeding during menstruation. No monthly — One of the brightest signs of explicit cycle violation in women. This indicates a failure in the work of the internal genital organs and hormonal imbalance. Common causes of deviations in the menstrual cycle are considered:

  • increased nervous excitability and stress;
  • pathology of the sexual system;
  • infections;
  • diseases of the internal organs of the abdominal cavity;
  • heredity;
  • Change of climatic belt;
  • improper nutrition;
  • radiation irradiation.

If you suspect the menstrual disorders, please contact a gynecologist for professional diagnostics. Ignoring this problem may result in serious consequences (ectopic pregnancy, oncological pathologies of ovarian and uterus, neoplasms in the brain and tuberculosis).
